Positions available in CPF Exco

If this is something you would like to pursue, please let us know and we will set up meetings before January. Interested but not sure, you are welcome to attend meeting Tuesday 11th as a guest. Please email media@cpftableview.co.za.

SECRETARY (voting exco member)
1. Update and maintain the digital records and history of TVCPF including sub-forums on the TVCPF hard drive and backed up on memory stick (secured at SAPS).
2. Prepare the consolidated Annual meeting calendar for exco, sub forums and Imbizos.
3. Take bullet form minutes at 5 once monthly evening meetings (exco, plenary) as well as 4 SAPS Imbizo evenings per annum. Save these electronically as per 1.
4. Prepare Agenda and attendance register for the above.
5. Print copies of completed minutes and attendance registers for filing at SAPS.
6. If possible take minutes at security forum meetings.
7. Assist Chairman with capturing electronically the monthly EPP report to DOCS
8. Assist with preparation of the monthly News-Letter.

TREASURER (voting exco member)
Manage the bank account and pay creditors.
Prepare the annual budget.
Prepare and present monthly finance updates and operating reports at CPF exco meetings .
Prepare monthly EPP reports with the Chairman to generate funding from DOCS.
Prepare and present annual financial reports at the AGM.

MEDIA RELEASE
MAN ARRESTED WITH 3KG CRYSTAL METHAMPHETAMINE
A 36-year-old man from Mitchells Plain was arrested on Friday, 07 December 2018 during the late afternoon when police officers from Table View Police Station were busy with routine patrols in Sunningdale.
The officers noticed suspicious activities between two men at a parking area of a retail shopping centre. Observation was held and one of the men removed one large bag from the back seat of the vehicle, and walked towards the centre. The officers followed him. The man was apprehended shortly before entering one of the stores. The man was searched and inside the large bag he was carrying, the officers found three smaller bags, containing, what appears to be crystal methamphetamine (tik).
The officers immediately arrested this suspect and went outside to look for the vehicle, but it had left already.
When the officers arrived at the police station, the bags were weighed. It was nearly 3kg in weight with an estimated street value of R90 000 of crystal meth. The fingerprints of the suspect was taken and this revealed that he was sought on a 2015 Lentegeur case, for dealing in drugs.
The suspect will be appearing in the Cape Town Magistrates Court today, 10 December 2018 on charges of possession of drugs and dealing in drugs.

MEDIA RELEASE
HI-JACKED VEHICLE RECOVERED
Table View Police received information on Saturday, 08 December 2018 about a presumable hi-jacked vehicle that entered the area of Dolphin Beach. The officers immediately drove to the corners of the West Coast Road (R27) and Blaauwberg Road to wait for the vehicle. A few minutes later the vehicle arrived and the officer stopped it, approached it with caution and instructed the driver to exit the vehicle. The driver got out and obeyed the officers' instructions.
The registration number of the vehicle was tested and it was confirmed as a hi-jacked vehicle from Parow a few days earlier. The suspect, a 27-year-old man from Belhar, was arrested and charged for being in possession of a hi-jacked vehicle. He was handed over to Parow Police Station.
Milnerton Cluster Commander, Major General Jordaan applauded the members for their swift reaction and also thanked the partnership, who relayed the information to the police. Without information on criminal activities, criminals will evade arrest. She asks the community to be more vigilant during the festive season and to report suspicious activities to their local police station or anonymously to Crime Stop 08600 10111.

CRIME AWARENESS TIPS DURING THE FESTIVE SEASON
Table View Police is issuing the following safety tips to residents and visitors to our precinct:
Always be alert and aware of your surroundings;
Avoid walking alone in deserted areas;
Make sure your vehicle is securely locked and the alarm activated when parking it;
When stationary at intersections, lock your doors and wind your windows up;
Always be in control of your personal belongings, do not leave it unattended when at a public place, such as the beach, restaurant or pub for example;
Report suspicious activities to the local neighbourhood watch or the police. You may also contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111;
Do not leave any valuable items inside your vehicle;
When at home, make sure that your windows are closed and the doors are locked; activate your home alarm when going out.
When going away during this time of year, make sure your neighbours are aware of this and that they have a contact number, should anything occur at your residence whilst away.
The Station Commander of Table View Police Station, Colonel Lindiwe Dyantyi wants to wish everyone a very safe festive season and a prosperous 2019.
