Community Intervention Centre

Empowering People in Crisis

The Community Intervention Centre (CIC) based at SAPS Milnerton is an organisation that provides counselling and support for all people in traumatic and crisis situations. CIC offers this service free of charge to anyone affected by rape, armed robbery, motor vehicle accidents, death, suicide, domestic violence, in fact any situation that can cause distress.

Established in 2001, CIC is a registered NPO with all the necessary governances and management structures in place. The organisation also has a well established working relationship with the local hospitals and SAPS. The CIC team of trained Trauma Workers is ready 24/7 to step in and support those in need and over the past 13 years has helped over 23 000 victims of trauma.

Despite the fact that all CIC Trauma Workers are volunteers, the organisation still incurs unavoidable running costs, which they cover with donations and sponsorship. CIC has a Club 100/1000 which anyone interested can join and support this worthy cause with R 100 or R 1000 monthly debit donations. However, any other type of donation or sponsorship is just as welcome to enable CIC to continue with its good work. All donations to CIC earn Tax 18A certificates.
